A short, link-able read for reporters covering anonymous internet culture.

one-line description

secretgit is a global anonymous confession and survival-tactics platform — no accounts, no IP logs, available in seven languages, launched 2026.

three-paragraph description

secretgit is a global anonymous-confession platform that opened to the public in 2026. It hosts two parallel content rows: anonymous confessions ("secrets") and a community-voted database of real-world escape strategies ("escapes" — excuses, exits, recovery moves), available in English, Turkish, Spanish, German, French, Arabic, and Russian.

The site is account-less by design. There are no usernames, no profile pages, no logged-in state. The only persistent identifier kept against a post is a rotating SHA-256 hash used solely to enforce rate limits. The site does not store IP addresses, cookies, or browser fingerprints at the application layer.

secretgit's commercial bet is that anonymous confession content is one of the most under-served verticals on the open web — Reddit dominates English-language confession via r/confession and r/offmychest, but no equivalent exists in Turkish (where the original Itiraf.com peaked in 2003 and has not modernized) or in most of the other launch languages. The "escapes" row has no direct competitor in any language.

founding context

secretgit was founded by an independent two-person team out of Türkiye, prompted by the observation that no modern, mobile-first, multi-language anonymous-confession platform existed in 2026 — despite continued user demand for the format and academic evidence (Ogan & Cağıltay, Bilgi University, 2003) of a 55,000-daily-visitor Turkish-language precedent. The platform is bootstrapped and not currently fundraising.

data we can share

For stories, we can share aggregate, anonymized cuts: post volume by category, by country, by language, by week. We can share representative anonymized excerpts (with permission of nobody, since there is nobody to ask — that's part of the design) but we never narrow data in ways that could identify individual posts to individual writers.

We are working on an annual State of Confessions data report (slated for Q1 2027) summarizing the year's aggregated patterns — the categories that grew, the countries that activated, the cultural shifts the writers wrote into.

brand & visuals

Wordmark: secretgit (always lowercase). Brand mark: dotted concentric circles with a single solid dot — visible in the favicon and the social-share OG cards.

High-resolution logo files, screenshots, and OG card samples can be requested at press@secretgit.com. Please link to secretgit.com, not to a particular confession URL — confessions can be deleted by their writers and link rot is real.
