anonymous أكاذيب قيلت confessions
Confessions about lies people told — and what came of them.
Bella DePaulo's classic diary studies put the average adult at one to two lies per day, most of them small and social. A few people — the ones who end up here — tell the structural ones: the resume line that wasn't true, the relationship status that lasted years, the funeral they invented to skip a wedding.
This row collects both. The throwaway lies are usually the funniest entries on the site. The structural lies are usually the heaviest. Both have a shape readers recognize: the moment of deciding, the moment of getting away with it, and the moment — usually months or years later — when the lie outlives its usefulness and starts to weigh.
If you've been looking for a place to set down a lie that nobody knows you told, this is the row. We don't ask which one it is, and we don't broadcast it past whoever scrolls past.
